About Mi-Best

Bess Richard is the founder of Mi-Best.

I’m a retired Information Technology Executive turned Career Coach.

I have over 20 years of experience at Bank of America / CFC serving in various chief and executive level positions in the IT Division, including Chief Technology Governance Officer, Chief IT Administrative Officer, and EVP of IT HR & Org Dev.  My work in Information Technology gave me a broad knowledge of technology, governing, and leadership principles that I’ve leveraged to help my clients make a career move whether it’s their first or their next.

I was often told that I had a natural talent for hiring great people, for grooming and nurturing them, and for inspiring them to do their very best.  I mentored many people along the way and coached them to become successful leaders.  My abilities served me well in building and leading successful teams, in gaining the recognition of my managers, and in meeting client needs.  I promoted quickly and I promoted often.”

In 2008, I changed the trajectory of my career and established a private Career Coaching practice. I am also a Career Consultant at Equus Workforce Solutions, a nationwide leading workforce solutions provider.

I have coached over 1200 clients in a variety of industries including Mortgage Banking, Education, Health & Fitness, Non-profit, Accounting, Manufacturing, Bio-tech, Engineering, Information Technology, Video Gaming, Hospitality, Culinary fields, Retail, Fashion Design, Sales & Marketing, Nursing, ,

I am the current Vice President and facilitator of EU Greater Los Angeles Professionals Networking Group, a strategic advisor to Teens4TeensHelp, and a volunteer Job Coach at L.A. Valley College Workforce Development.

I was often asked for the secret of my phenomenal career advancement.  I believe that it was my approach to life that has given me the happiness and balance that has made me successful both in my professional and personal life.  I carry with me a positive outlook about change and have a strong ability not only to adapt to change, but also to capitalize on change.  I view every interaction as an opportunity to help and encourage people, and to learn and improve oneself.  This approach is what I share through my career and life coaching practice and which I customize to work for you.

I take career strategies along with real world experience, and synthesize them into a common sense approach that is helping to transform people’s lives and careers.

My Coaching Philosophy

During my career, I dealt with a lot of people who, as a result of a lack of accountability, have suffered from an inability to promote, relationship issues, and other interpersonal problems.  I know that my common-sense approach to coaching and this website will arm you with the strategies you need to be more proactive when it comes to managing change and leading a balanced life.

My philosophy is centered on the life consequences of making poor decisions, and lack of follow through and accountability.  The strategies and guidance I provide as a life coach are intended to enrich your life by helping you find your life’s purpose and putting you on the path to fulfilling it.
